MEET THE HOST

MARIE-LUISE

The very first time I felt serious about making this Podcast was in 2021, having recently moved from Berlin to Copenhagen. Together in this process my partner, our dog and I decided to pack, change, reset. Mainly to see if we can fulfill our dream to become parents. As two women we wanted to do it as equal as possible, in a self chosen liberating way. Well it worked all out! Of course many days were hard, quite uncertain. Still to this day I am beyond grateful we both took the risks. We both gave up important connections, I lost a lot at first sight, and gained tremendous more life. Because of that decision we made and took action. Our son Everest was born in 2022.

Long story short, that is just a tiny slice of the cake.

Currently I am a Freelance Stylist in Berlin. Yes, we moved back for a variety of reasons. People who know me, might understand that I have a tendency to not overshare much about my work life background. I prefer to keep it under the radar, but yes I love to connect people.

Since 2002, I am able to learn and work in very interconnected fields like the clothing industry, variety of stations in hospitality as well as creative cooperate operations in Europe. There have been many different jobs, at different times and places. All had one important thing in common:

I was working for people, with people, alongside people, serving people. All kinds from every milieu. Through these experiences I got to know by chance, the massive value; listening, and remembering someones else’s background, intentions, or honestly seeing emotions. And taking inspiration from those who shared knowledge, the secrets, craftsmanship skills, and how to not give up!

To all & especially the young listeners, and the ones who feel alone / I hope this Podcast series can be a companion and an inspiration.
